Diary writing considered harmful

From this article:
Keeping a diary is bad for your health, say UK psychologists. They found that regular diarists were more likely than non-diarists to suffer from headaches, sleeplessness, digestive problems and social awkwardness.
I wonder if there would be a difference for those who write the more public web diaries now in fashion.

Really? I find that hard to believe. Just last night I noted to myself in my diary that how keeping that diary is helpful. Maybe it's not the act of writing in a diary that causes the symptoms but rather the fact that since you are writing (most likely late at night) you are more likely to sleep less and hence suffer the consequences. I am speaking too soon though since i haven't read the article yet. Oh and I haven't been sleeping well recently and I have a headache, no digestive problems though. As for social awkwardness, you be the judge. Man this was a long reply. This is awkward!

I had digestive problems and social awkwardness WAY before I started keeping a blog.
