Apple introduces a multi-button mouse: The Mighty Mouse!
For a long time people have been clamoring for Apple to give the option to get a multi-button mouse when they buy a computer. For years Apple has said that a single button mouse is simpler and what people want. People have been forced to get the single button mouse that Apple gives them, and toss it onto a shelf somewhere to be replaced by a third-party mouse with more buttons and a scrollwheel.Apple has finally seen the light and introduced a multi-button mouse with scrolling. They call it the Mighty Mouse! It looks pretty wacky. There are 4 buttons, but it only looks like the old one-button mice as there's a seamless shell on top. I'll have to try it out in person before issuing real judgement, but it seems like if there are multiple buttons you should be able to see where they are.
Implementation aside, I'm glad that Apple has finally seen the light and gone multi-button. Huzzah!
