DeadMaisonneuve

It appears that my free internet hosting has expired. The point of demaisonneuve.com was to write and develop characters for the Great Canadian Screenplay. They would be based on the tragically comic figures that I have met in Montreal whose perspective was too narrow to accomplish anything or attain the happiness and success they strove for. Ironically, I didn't spend enough time on it to develop more than one or two ideas, and the website accomplished little. Thank goodness elections are so long and boring that columnists will even write about joke websites.

Final feedback from any of you who actually perused the website would be welcome, either here or by e-mail. Meanwhile, I am contemplating new projects to keep myself distracted. I wouldn't mind trying to write a screenplay if others were keen to write with me. The joke political party got quite a bit of attention, so some aspect of it might be worth developing in some form or other. Ideas?

i will miss demaisonneuve. The news section was my favorite. It made me laugh out loud many a times.

And Pierre, pHD...he was such a gentleman. sigh.

I enjoyed demaisonneuve for the funny content it contained and would peruse it occasionally. I never knew when something new would be added though.

I can give you some more free webspace if you want.

I hope you decide to keep the site running. I enjoyed the fake news, Pierre, the South African radio show, and the pictured of De Maisonneuve St. The theme song, though lo-fi, was catchy!

The bloc stuff was great too, of course.

I was wondering what tragic circumstamces led to the dissapearance of the site. I enjoyed perusing it and keeping up to date on the goings on in Montreal as I flounder around in Ontario.
