385?????? Are you including Texas in there?

I prefer doing predictions the night before the election, but for now, I'll say: Dems: 273, Rep: 265.

Yeah, I go big or go home. I don't think it'll be close in the end.

Predictions the night the before the election are for sissies. I'm with Noonan, it's over.

The polls really haven't changed for the past few months: Obama has been leading by 2-5 points. Gore had a 1% lead and still lost. I think Obama is still going to win, but not by much (though I could be wrong).

Bryan, I assume your totals come from Obama winning Kerry's states plus Iowa, Colorado and New Mexico (since Obama has had a consistent lead in the polls in all those states for several months). What if, in that scenario, McCain wins New Hampshire? 269-269. What happens then?

"Should no candidate for President win a majority of the electoral votes, the choice is referred to the House of Representatives." -Wikipedia

Reps: 235-Dems 199-Rep 1-Vacant

Palin is going to decapitate Obama in a bare-fisted cage match in Florida, before giving birth to five pregnant teenagers and withdrawing from the ticket. Biden will then remove a rubber mask to reveal that he is in fact the zombie corpse of LBJ and will sweep the electoral vote 43,211 – 34 by inventing several new states. (McCain still carries Texas with replacement veep candidate consisting of Mitt Romney's haircut, Mike Huckabee's knees, and the remainder Jay Leno.)

For those of you interested in the Canadian election (and why would you be? "Snorefest '97"), here are a few seat projection websites:

385, that's as insane as Obama himself. First off, AR is as red as IL is blue. The make up posted first, having AR barely red is all it took for me to completely disregard it's ligitimacy. Next, MT and ND should be as red as Kansas (where I'm from) there's no chance they'll be blue. New Hampshire is still a swing state!! Hello! NH could still go either way; but I do think it's more likely blue. VA, and NC are not leaning blue. There should definetely be leaning red. Florida and Ohio should be total toss ups, like MO. Georgia, is not a swing state; and neither is IN, though neither are completely red.
This is an outrageously crazy interpretation of what the country is. Obama is not going to pick up all of Kerry's states, no way. But yeah, probably most of them.
This election is a toss up no matter what anyone says. It can still go either way.

I will eat a hat-shaped pancake if VA doesn't go to Obama.
