I see, you see, we all see the ICU

Look out!

[Scene: the front of an optometrist's shop. A PERSON steps out through the front door of the shop, adjusting the frames of his glasses as he exits. Starts walking carefree down the street. The sound of a jet engine, first in the background, gets louder and louder, until it causes PERSON to look over his shoulder and up. Seeing something, he runs to flee from the approaching thing in the sky, which the audience doesn't see.

[Next scene:
Another street. Same PERSON walks along street, nervous and shifty. Again, a jet engine gets louder and louder. Person looks up at sky, runs in opposite direction.

[Next scene:
the front of the optometrist's shop. We hear jet engine getting louder and louder. We then see PERSON, keeping one eye on the sky, running into optometrist's shop to seek refuge.

[Next scene:
Inside optometrist's shop. PERSON removes glasses, puts them on counter as he talks to OPTOMETRIST]

PERSON:
No, these glasses make me look too much like the World Trade Center. Do you have anything else?

Fin.

I thought it was a pretty funny joke. Of course, I am unamerican.

I liked it. A bit too random, but there's nothing to be done about that. Shocking, tasteless and funny.
