Deepak Chopra hits cellphones everywhere
My job for the past few weeks has been to work on a wireless application for Deepak Chopra. Take a look at Airborne's initial press release for all the juicy details.The two main competing cellphone platforms are J2ME (a mini version of java) and BREW (a C++ framework made by Qualcomm). Deepak's app should eventually launch in both formats. The BREW version will come first however, so there's a joint press release along with Qualcomm.
The actual release date is unknown. There is still QA testing to be done, and then there are all sorts of certifications apps must go through before the wireless carriers will put them on their networks.
