my calling

I found a new talent! This reasonably attractive guy that I know has tried online dating but he just wasn't getting the response he craved. So he asked me for my opinion and I told him that he needed to inject a little humour into his profile. He was at a loss so I wrote one for him. Lo and behold, women are writing him telling him that his profile caught their eye cause it's funny. YES! I can attract other women for men! Baby steps Cosmo, baby steps.

Okay, in a complete violation of privacy, I present you Mr. X's profile (I was working from his rough draft and tried to stay true to his authentic self):

INTRO:

I love music, enjoying breakfast with friends, cycling, traveling, running and reading. I love doing most of this outdoors. But, sometimes it rains outside and, on those days, my thoughts turn to the prospect of meeting a great woman to enjoy these things with when the sun comes up again. Throw away your umbrellas ladies! Join me to navigate the elements, won't you? Or perhaps we could, like, you know, grab a drink and joke together.

ON THE IDEAL FIRST DATE:

The right mixture of great conversation, laughter and connection. Also, a moment at the end of the date to pause and reflect on what we've learned :)

WHAT HE'S LEARNED FROM PAST RELATIONSHIPS:

I like spontaneity. Whoa! Not the kind of spontaneity where you go and turn off the computer without finishing my profile, pretty lady, no, no, the kind of spontaneity that results from two people really knowing each other and being able to have a great time whenever, wherever. I find laughter and ease to be really important elements in the mix and here's hoping that you do too!

My services are available for an affordable fee.

(that last line was mine, not his...and it's part of this blog reply...uh...not part of his profile).
