Confucius say!

When I grow up, I'm going to release an annotated anthology of the analects. It will contain such insightful comments as "ahaha!", "wtf?" and "Confucius, you prick!".

[...]For a man quick with a retort, there are frequent occaisions on which he will incur the hatred of others. (V, 5)

[...]A piece of rotten wood cannot be carved. (V, 10)

On a day he had wept, the Master did not sing. (VII, 10)

The master said, "I have yet to meet the man who is as fond of virtue as he is of beauty in women." (IV, 18)

He did not converse at meals; nor did he talk in bed. (X, 10)

The master said, "There are, are there not, young plants that fail to produce blossoms, and blossoms that fail to produce fruit?" (IX, 22)

Have you found that book yet?

Just as I cannot teach you to breathe, nor can I tell you how to obtain the Book. You have to do it for yourself.

I looked all through B128 & PL2478, as well as sifting fruitlessly through everything on Muse with "Confucius" as a keyword.

I may be a failure, but at least I didn't die trying.
