What to do with my old business cards?

What should I do with the 300 or so outdated business cards that I have?

I had the same problem. I kept them and use them to label gifts. (I turn them over and write on the back... otherwise, that would just be weird.)

My situation is further complicated by the fact that the business cards in question are double-sided!!!!!!

oh my gosh - guys, you MUST MAKE THEM INTO CUBES. at the beginning of last year, i considered buying someone's old business cards, cube-ifying them, and then interlocking them and making furniture (night table, etc). but i gave up because i couldn't find enough business cards. i am so jealous.

(you can also slip folded cards in to make the surface matte. they are surprisingly robust!)

you should have a cube-making party.

You can create cubes out of old business cards and connect them together to make shapes. I had lots of old business cards to get rid of so this was a fun way of using them. You can view pictures on my blog post: http://www.zeta.net/blog/2008/11/2400-business-cards-no-glue-and-a-lunchtime-or-two/

What DO collectors DO with the biz cards - it's potentially possible to have TOO many! Just curious.

It's good to know that some people are asking about old cards. We create business cards and find that a lot of people ask us what to do with their old ones. My usual response unfortunately is that there is no use just to recycle.

My Dad just threw away 3 boxes of old biz cards, so I came online looking for what to do with them (I got them out of the trashcan, lol. Hate to waste.)

But then I wondered: If sending your old biz cards out to whoever/collectors, might that be somewhat of an "identity theft" hazard? Even if the address or phone, etc. on the old biz card is no longer active, motivated-thieves could still get a lot of info on a person by this prior info.

Don't mean to rain on your parade, just thinking out loud...and wondering.

PS: My brother used to collect and save Marlboro boxes when we were kids and he stacked them to the ceiling in his bedroom. So the "Wallpaper" idea made me think of that, lol. Funny stuff.

And yes I'm human and I typed the word human, lol. Cute. Sure beats all those crazy twisted letters at other sites.

Forgot to add one old-biz-card use idea: They make great "labels" for your file cabinet drawers.

Think we'll do something with cubes too, we've got loads to get rid of!

Put the cards in your dirt bike tire/spoke to make exhaust sounds or just hand them out to people not in your industry. Keep the fancy new cards for your target audience
