Old Skool Sillytech dream is alive

Remember when it was all about the sketches? Dustin was a simple boy with a simple dream:

"Sillytech is an attempt to bring together a critical mass of sketch comedy writers using the internet. The hope is that united we can produce enough funny material to produce a new skit comedy TV show."

This may be your chance.

Have a gander at: The Other Network TV writing contest

There is a September 1 deadline, and a $40 fee, so you should be serious if you are thinking of submitting. Also, you need to know how to write in proper TV script format. If you win, the least you can do is let me be an extra in your award winning script.

The Other Network was showing at Cinema du Parc last year and included performances and/or writing by Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Conan O'Brien, Owen Wilson, Dave Foley... the list goes on.

I should submit my thesis.

(Serious question: reply with precise technical requirements)

There are books on how to write scripts but you can find some stuff online too.

This screenwriting tutorial may help. You can probably skim for the relevant information. This was found by searching for a minute or so, so there might be other useful sites out there.

good luck
