Iggy for Canada?

I was checking out the website of liberal leadership candidate Michael Ignatieff and found that he has an open policy forum on it. That's pretty cool. I made 4 posts there:I don't have strong feelings about Ignatieff either way at the moment. I was quite pleased with his website though. I'm curious to see if my posts in the forum get any responses. I also wonder if Ignatieff reads what gets written there.

You guys have any thoughts on Iggy?

All the progressive ideas coming out of the Ignatieff camp seem warm and fuzzy, but where does this guy really stand?

What's his position on US Missile Defence?

Do you aggree with him that Quebec should be recognized as a distinct nation?

Why is he (and all the Libs for that matter) blasting the Tories on the Income Trust taxation. Really, we all know it had to be done. Seems pretty opportunistic to me.

What really scares me is his position on war and torture. Yes, he seems to have moderated his tone lately, as he realizes he's now a politician and can't just speak his mind. But all the recent flip-flops make one wonder.

That being said, I really hope he wins the Liberal leadership race. If only because it will move the Libs to the right and make it easier for NDP supporters not to vote Liberal.
