Luxtoberfest 2005 Update
It's 10 days into Luxtoberfest 2 and so far it has been wicked fun! Last week I held a Tournament of Champions with the best ranked players versus each other followed by a Team-Play Tournament. Yesterday, MapLAB leader mbauer held a review of the best maps that have been created since last year. I just finished holding a "Twitch Lux" tournament. Players only had 8 seconds to take their turn in. The games were fast and ferocious! It was so much fun that Twitch Lux will become available in regular Lux soon.
The biggest problem facing Luxtoberfest is that the player turn-out has been massive: so many people want to play. In the Team-Play games the line-up was long and slow with only 1 host running it. There's another team-play event going on next weekend, so that one might have more hosts helping out.
The tournaments have all been very fun for all the players. I think that there will be some more tournaments happening after Luxtoberfest as well.
