the shell game

I've wanted a color version of the UNIX ls command for a while now. I've even tried installing them before, but it never seemed to work. Until now, cuz I found a quick and easy OSX color ls download here. It's not that big a deal, but I really think Apple should have had a color ls as the default.

I've been experimenting with writing shell scripts the past little while, and I've decided to ditch the tcsh shell that's default on OSX and move to the bash shell. The web tells me that bash is much more prevalent and better for scripting with. Hopefully this way I will better understand all the bash script lying around my system.
