chalk mobsters

Me and Mariana arrived at the first meeting point but one minute late (I know this because my watch had been synchronized earlier). There we were given the instructions as well as some sidewalk chalk. Of course the chalk was the key to the whole shebang. From the second cup at Parc and Milton we walked up to Prince Arthur and headed east drawing arrows along the way. Since we had been a tad late there were some arrows already there. We filled in more where they weren't thick enough.

A car stopped and the driver asked me what we were doing. "Directing people to the meeting spot" I answered, and continued merrily arrowing along. As we got closer and closer to the final destination (Prince Arthur between Coloniale and de Bullion) the arrows grew denser and denser. Finally at the appointed time (5:22) the block exploded with people madly drawing on the ground, walls, poles, ad anything they could get their chalk onto.

It was really a great idea, kudos to the organizers. It was fun, whimsical, artistic and non-destructive all at the same time. I'm sure that people will see the arrows and follow them with no idea what they are for. They could only be amused by the final result. I got a little video footage of the crazyness, here are some pictures of the event. The best one being this...
