Good press == good times! Gamersinfo.net just published an outstanding review of Lux, and have it listed in their Editor's Pick section! I am very pleased. The reviewer seemed to take a fancy to the witty sayings that get displayed at the end of each game (in addition to the great gameplay of course). Here are some snippets from the review:What is this wonder of modern ingenuity and technology that will eliminate that computer gaming funk you're in you ask? It is none other than LUX! Lux ... is my current computer game addiction. Lux is Risk. But it's not just Risk, it's Risk++.
Lux has a great replay-ability to it, considering that no two games will ever be the same - even when played on the same board. Some of the smaller boards can be played out in a relatively short time so it's not a game that will take up your whole day - well that is unless you get addicted to it like I did. Lux also got a nice write-up on canoe.ca at the start of this week. Some choice bits:Forget about Solitaire and Freecell. The major threat to productivity on my computer is a game called Lux. ... Be sure to finish all your important work first. Once you switch Lux on, it's hard to turn it off. The fact that Lux now runs on Windows means that it is possible to take advantage of the mass market and the mass media that serves them. Lux's initial results on the Windows platform have been underwhelming, but it continues to grow, and there is still a huge potential. After all, this will likely be the first month that downloads of the Windows installer outpace that of the Macintosh one.
3 comments Lux like you're in an endless loop of Success!
I almost said Luxess, but I thought that would push past acceptable geekiness. | |
