Listen Up, All You Rugcutters... So, you know that TV show, 24? It's got this Canadian guy who runs about and does stuff for about 24 hours straight over the course of one season. Except, because it's a TV show, there are commercial breaks and really you only get about 18 hours of entertainment, which is a pretty blatant rip-off, I think you'll agree.
Instead, you should come to McGill Improv's annual Vaganza comedy show. It actually runs for 24 full hours, and instead of just one Canadian, it has many! And there are funny jokes, too! (Although sadly, the number of bizarre plot devices is probably about the same.)
In summary, if you live in Montreal (and are not already affiliated with McGill Improv), you should-- nay, you must!--come to Vaganza! 24 hours of improvised comedy, from 9am, Friday February 4th to 9am, Saturday February 5th, in the council room on the 2nd floor of the William Shatner Student Building at 3480 McTavish Street. It's $3 for students and $5 for non-students, and all profits will go to charity.
Be there, or get screwed over by Kiefer Sutherland.

And now I have the Vaganza theme stuck in my head. | |
