Budman met a French-Canadian called Sophie in Melbourne, who had something like this to say:

Malhereusement, il ne parle pas tres bien francais... mais il est néanmoins un joyeux gaillard.

"Joyeux gaillard" translates roughly as "merry, strapping man."

Somebody please write a sitcom about Budman.
