woot woot

So I am done school now, and it's nice. I've just been spending the last few days having fun. I think that I will continue this for a while longer. However I'm a big supporter of long term planning and I realize that this summer is an opportunity that I cannot squander. I've just finished the big life phase of university and next comes Real Life. I have just enough money to last so that I don't have to enter the soul crushing capitalistic workplace (yet). I think that the results of this summer will greatly influence the future direction of my life.

I have three largish projects for the summer, as follows.

The one that will make me some actual money is Lux. This is my official summer job. The actual amount of money that I can earn this way will decide the amount of time that this can continue to be my bread earning job. I haven't had a chance to work on it for awhile because of the end of term crunch. This means I'm not as synched with the code as I used to be. I just have to get back into it and good things will happen. The next update will have some reworked internals as well as explosions! (and maybe some sound effects) After that comes the networkable version. That's when the cool will really hit the fan. I can hardly wait.

Project number 2 is the Baraka style movie that me and marc are making. The working title is Taber, and filming starts this weekend. We haven't really settled on a pervasive theme yet, but 'Humanity at Play' seems pretty cool. I think that we'll be able to get a lot of good footage from the crazy goings on at the Tam-Tams. I have always been interested in filming stuff, so I think that this will be hella fun.

Rounding it out is sillytech and skit writing. Clearly what is needed is regular new material. There have been some periods when this goal has been met, but they have been counteracted by periods of stagnation. I know that I must resume carrying a little book around everywhere I go. Also I hope to make skit writing meetings a traveling affair. Then there is a chance that they will live on after I depart montreal.

And that's that. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
