DVD-HD vs BluRay

BluRay is going to get a huge boost from the PlayStation3. That will provide a large install base for the tech at the beginning of the format war. I don't think DVD-HD will be able to stand up against that.    → comment by dustin (#1) on October 24, 2005 I thought it was going to be close but it's looking more and more like BluRay is gonna win. It's a shame they couldn't agree on merging the formats. There's still a chance HD-DVD will make a dent (the PC world prefers it) but the content providers will probably have the final say and they're still sitting on the fence by putting things out in both formats..    → comment by vinny9 (#33) on October 24, 2005
