I am now the proud owner of a webcam

Not only did apple announce the iSight yesterday, they also gave a free one to everyone at WWDC (i.e. me). I think this can be best summed up by Huzzah. Apart from that they also announced the new G5s and a bunch of features from the upcoming MacOS 10.3 (and gave a beta copy to everyone). The only disappointment was no new 15 inch powerbooks. As soon as those puppies come out I'm using my once-in-a-lifetime student developer discount to buy one (and probably an iPod as well).

Then I went to an introductory session on the developer tools (mainly the IDE, which is now called Xcode) followed by Java: State of the Union. It was mainly overviews, the detailed stuff starts today. My first real dilemma comes at 2 o'clock, when I must choose between the intro to OpenGL or the intro to QuickTime Streaming Server sessions. Apparently we get recordings of all the sessions on DVD at the end, so I will be able to watch both eventually (assuming that I ever get a freaking DVD player). But still, it's a pain in the ass that they are at the same time.

It sounds like you're having a great time. Was Mr. Jobs all he was cracked up to be? That's a really good idea, that they give all the sessions on DVD.

Speaking of (Jobs)... I hope you get a job! If I believed in a God I would pray to them for you. Perhaps I should pull out an eyelash and wish on that. OUCH! Ok, done.

You could always start your own online show, like Jared on SNL. Then you could sell t-shirts with your face on them.

Jobs was quite good. It's hard to live up to all the super-hype, but I was satisfied. On the other hand the search for a job isn't looking very promising. No big deal though. I think I have enough money to live on for a couple of months at least.

I forgot to login. I'm used to being always logged in at home. This on-the-road business is confusing my simple mind.
