He hooked my 14 year old self with his swords and sorcery. He then dragged the series on for another decade and half, with each book worse than the last. The last few were atrocious. I nearly gave up on them more times than I care to count, but kept reading because my younger self would have wanted me to. This is his ultimate betrayal. I'll help Gil kill the whole world.
