It's About Time

This is actually really dangerous. Their is a substantial capacitance you have to worry about when poking around in the guts of your TV, and if it's still holding its charge when you happen to put your finger in the wrong place... ZAPPO KAPOW! You are setting a bad example for kids, Bjork. For Shame.

That's actually what I was thinking, too. Those capacitors can hold a huge amount of charge for a long time, even if the TV is not plugged in. But that's what you get when you get science advice from poets.
