Dear DiaryFebruary 21, 2004Raccoon lives in the alley behind our house. He found me out, clever bastard. That striped-tailed rogue can open jars, doorknobs, latches, climb trees, swim, and can track. Hell, he probably has heat-vision. When I get let out to roam the back yard, I hop over the fence and knock over the big green garbage cans next door. I don't let Master see me hopping the fence. It's better if he thinks I'm stuck in the yard so he can leave me unsupervised. After my last escapade, I'm in no rush to get out of here. In any case, Raccoon can't get at the trash unless I help him out, so I figure it's just the neighbourly thing to do. He helped me through a rough time recently so it never hurts to pay a little of it back. Besides, I saw him chasing Cat down the alley last night. Yes sir, it's good to have friends. Rover
