Statistics Canada buying google adwords

While performing a perfectly normal targeted technical query on google I was shocked to see an ad from Statistics Canada appear. I did some tests and it looks as though they bought an ad for any search with the word 'average' in it. I took a screenshot of it for posterity, which was good because the ad no longer shows up anymore for the same search. Which is an improvement. Because the federal government wastes enough money as it is. For the record, here's the screenshot with my proof:

Waste of money? Statistics Canada sells services to businesses and other organizations. They are advertising for more money-making contracts.

Sounds sensible to me.

Yes, of course it is sensible to try and sell their services to people searching google for 'php cfserver load average'. The nest time I am looking for information about PHP and coldfusion webserver incompatibilities I will go to stats canada first!
