A highly rough estimate of value

I saw a notice about the SLOCCount utility. It counts the number of lines of code and estimates their value. Clearly it is very far from accurate, but it's still fun to see what it says. Running it on the Lux source code using the default estimate settings I get this:

Total Physical Source Lines of Code (SLOC) = 26,718
Development Effort Estimate, Person-Years (Person-Months) = 6.30 (75.57)
(Basic COCOMO model, Person-Months = 2.4 * (KSLOC**1.05))
Schedule Estimate, Years (Months) = 1.08 (12.93)
(Basic COCOMO model, Months = 2.5 * (person-months**0.38))
Estimated Average Number of Developers (Effort/Schedule) = 5.84
Total Estimated Cost to Develop = $ 850,718
(average salary = $56,286/year, overhead = 2.40).

Please credit this data as "generated using David A. Wheeler's 'SLOCCount'."
