Diablo 2 still alive...
I got this from a website about Diablo II.Just in case you (or your parents) think nothing of use will ever come from playing too much Diablo II, here's a mail we received from dm that might change your mind.
I put that my hardcore sorceress was ranked #3 overall in diablo 2 on the combined ladders for useast/west classic for about 8 months ~nov 2001 - june 2002~ on my resume, and it got me 4 interviews. In all 4 of the interviews the first question I was asked was to clarify about the ranking, such as how many people played the game, how it was ranked, and basic information of that sort. The fact that I was ranked on the servers demonstrated I was "competitive" and that was all they wanted to know. Put d2 ladder ranking on resume - it can get you a job!
