The unappreciated

This is just to tell you all that you should go see the new movie "The Constant Gardner". Addrienne and i saw it last night (it's playing at Parc) and it was fantastic. On our way home, though, we talked about how it is the type of film that will get good reviews but not a lot of people will actually want to go out and see it. It's got great cinematography, a great story, great acting, lots of suspence, and it has a relevant political message.
If anyone else wants to suggest great but unnappreciated films please do; i am tired of standing in the video store debating between something that looks terrible and something that looks marginally less terrible.

Hmmm... I really liked "Frantic" with Harrison Ford. "Snow Falling on Cedars" was also good.

John LeCarre's novel "The Constant Gardener" is excellent as well, really and truly, only it's also excessively depressing.

My favourite underappreciated movie is "Punchdrunk Love", but I gather you saw that (and didn't think it was anything special).

Hey, Punchdrunk love is one of my favourite movies. Who has been spreading such malicious lies?

Hey, I really like Punchdrunk Love, too. Hmm, Ken. Looks like we need to take a better look at our mutual disagreement on movies.

i read on A's journal that you saw it and then there wasn't further comment (unlike my response of: OHMYGOD THAT WAS GREAT), so i assumed ambivalence. most people i know don't think much of it. (there are several exceptions.)

the spongebob squarepants movie is really good.

I found the gardening disappointingly spotty and inconsistent.
