Yeah, but come on, n=10 for boys and n=15 for girls. It is really pushing the acceptable boundaries of inferential statistics to go from that to "men and woman process language differently". They might as well have gone to a playground and vaguely listened to kids as they tried to pick up hot moms.

Neurolinguistic studies are expensive and underfunded jerk. Your causality is backwards. It is BECAUSE no one takes linguistics seriously that n=25. Jerk.

This is why no one takes goodladd seriously. That and the fact that most of his postings here and elsewhere are sarcastic/ironic in nature.

Also, I am extremely dubious that anyone would use analogy-based processing or rhyme-based for that matter. It seems like a cursory explanation to me.
