| *Cookie Monster Eating Noises*Montreal restaurant openings in 2008
After getting interested in the foodie scene mostly thanks to King Casey's erudite yet eminently readable food blog and a xmas gift of the Larousse Gastronomique (Hardcover) from me to Tash (which I've been perusing), I'm slowly getting interested in being hoity-toity with mah food. Thanks, King Casey!

Another good Montreal foodie blog is An Endless Banquet.

10 comments | | There are tons of food blogs out there for all types of eaters, diners, and cookers. It's off-the-hook. I read a few locally based ones, but it can be quite the appetite stimulant. Cheers! | | |

 | Yeah, but it's better to let the reader do the work for you. Their imagination will always trump any writing. | | |

 | Thanks Vinny, I'm really glad you're enjoying The Project.
My dining companion and I sometimes quizz each other with items from Larousse Gastronomique, it's an amazing book. Some day I plan on reading it cover to cover (apparently I'm a completist when it comes to cooking).

If you're looking for other Montreal food blogs, I like La Gourmande Modeste ( http://lagourmandemodeste.wordpress.com ). She writes in French, and prepares hearty, budget conscious, dishes in a fun way. I also have links to some great food blogs in The Gourmet Project's blogroll.
