Choose! Leiden or Edinburgh?
11 comments There are enough fans of Edinburgh here, I vote Leiden. It's a lovely place, and the Dutch are lovely people.
Go Dutch. I'm tired of hearing about Edinburgh as well.
wow guys...your suggestions couldn't have been more arbitrary! So you are pretty serious about this "law" business eh Chris? I personally think you should go with Leiden Chris, the Edinburgh website was way too text-heavy.
Here is some empirical data to help Chris: DOUBLE Dutch, SINGLE malt Scotch.
Double is most certainly better than Single, except when it comes to punches in the crotch.
Therefore, go to Leiden.

Have you considered, however, that "to go Dutch" is an idiom meaning "to have each person pay his/her own expenses"? And this, of course, is only part of a long lexical legacy of the word "Dutch" being used as a modifier to mean "kooky" or "troublesome" (consider, "Dutch auction", "Dutch concert", "Dutch courage", "Dutch door", "in Dutch"). Given all that, who knows what "Dutch law school" might really entail. ("Scotch", on the other hand, is a verb meaning "to end swiftly", which is a quality you would most certainly want in a law school.)
I would also point out that the Dutch are not lovely people. They are, quite to the contrary, a bunch of Boers.
goodladd, I was disappointed you left out "Dutch oven"
I will arbitrarily vote for Leiden as well. +1 different from Edinburgh.
goodladd, you unfortunately did not end your admittedly formidable argument with Q.E.D., thus rendering it impotent and moot.
Q.E.D. makes arguments work, which one needs in law school. Q.E.D. comes from Latin. Leiden is closer to the former Roman Empire than Edinburgh. T herefore, Leiden would be a stronger choice for law school.

Gbrowdy has ended both his posts with "Quad Erat Demonstratum" [sic], leaving all his arguments unproven. Clearly, then, Edinburgh must be the better choice.
Quod erat demonstrandum
I think all this is really distracting us from the crucial point here: hasn't Chris already *been* to law school? This apparent choice he has presented us with is just an attempt to busy us arguing with each other while he quietly slips off to a year's "education" at some cushy European resort.
