| Trembling MountainInspired by a romantic article in the Gazette, I climbed Mont Tremblant yesterday. I highly recommend it. It was gorgeous! I also highly recommend vast amounts of cardiovascular activity in the months prior to your climb. The hike took about 2 strenuous hours of steep goodness. Please note that you'll need more than just a lousy bottle of water and half an apple. You'll require several litres of water and perhaps a whole apple. Also, the "relaxing" gondola ride down is actually quite terrifying on a windy day. I did, however, see two people engaged in sexual activity in the gondola across from us. I suppose they weren't as concerned with the possibility of plummeting to their deaths as we were. I think I've just discovered the beauty of love!

4 comments | | Hiking is fun but it can really hurt after a while. Last November, me and a bunch of mates hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Ten hours to get to the bottom, Eleven to get back up - one vertical mile and 30 degrees (f) of temperature change. But wow the views kicked ass.

 | What, are you an american now? I never got the conversion for F to C down. My best guess is that 30f ~= 10C. | | |

 | Farenheight to Celcius converters are really easy to grab online. Its a simple formula so a lot of people use it as one of those "learn to program" applications.
Google found me one at http://www.dickinson.edu/~schimmej/ftoc.html for example.

But also its a sliding scale. -40 F is the same as -40C, so a 30 degree difference doesnt tell you much. To clarify my story: It was snowing at the top of the canyon and it was a spring day at the bottom. You programmers can be such sticklers for details.

Also I hit submit accidentally so thats why my first post sucks.
