I think Cory is silly. He just described the Nintendo Wii, or the X-Box, or the Kindle, or any number of devices that can only use software or books or games from limited sources. None of them have managed to stop innovation and the inevitable advances in technology, why should the iPad? It looks like a fun device, but it's not going to phase out computers or netbooks or destroy public libraries, so why does it matter the manner in which the software is sold?    → comment by LePhil (#198) on April 3, 2010
