Last Monday I went to the prestigious Schreveningen Open; the tennis umpire's accent made him sound like Don Juan de Marco: "Love 15...love 30..."

Dutch vending machines are awesome. You can get a cheeseburger out of the vending machine, a "Meat Stick", or even a kroket, which is deep-fried stew.

Last weekend, I went to Aachen, the seat of Charlemagne. It turns out that the Holy Roman Empire wasn't very Roman at all; only the original Roman Empire was a wholly Roman Empire.
