Recently I was scanning the radio dial looking for some good background and came across an intriguing station running on FM 100.7. It was playing some pleasantly mellow musiks that delighted everyone hanging out at Amy's house. I have been listening to it more in the last couple of days and have been delighted by the different stuff they have played: jazz, dj beats, and middle eastern stuff. Plus some french guy talks to you occasionally.
I searched for it online and it appears to be a CBC station: Chaîne culturelle de Radio-Canada. Check it out on 100.7 FM in Montreal or in these 2 (low quality) internetstreams.
